Personal assistant Dominic is a consummate professional. Funny then, that he harbors such unprofessional feelings toward Tristan Maxwell, the CEO of the company. No, not in that way. The man may be the walking epitome of gorgeousness dressed up in a designer suit. But, Dominic's immune. Unlike most of the workforce, he can see through the pretty facade to the arrogant, self-entitled asshole below. It's lucky then, that the man's easy enough to avoid. Disaster strikes when Dominic finds himself having to work in close proximity as Tristan's P.A. The man is infuriatingly unflappable, infuriatingly good-humored, and infuriatingly unorthodox. In short, just infuriating. A late-night rescue leading to a drunken pass only complicates matters further, especially with the discovery that Tristan is both straight and engaged. Hatred turns to tolerance, tolerance to friendship, and friendship to mutual passion. One thing's for sure, if Tristan sets his sights on Dominic, there's no way Dominic has the necessary armor or willpower to keep a force of nature like Tristan at bay for long, no matter how unprofessional a relationship with the boss might be. He may just have to revise everything he previously thought and believed in a chance at love.

The Birth of a Blessing

A Fertile Spirit

In "The Birth of a Blessing: A Fertile Spirit”, the author compares the Spiritual Birth process with the natural birth process. He takes us on a journey step by step that demonstrates God’s work in us and through us as well as how to strengthen our faith in Him. No believer, man or woman is excluded from spiritual pregnancy. For every believer has the right to spiritual blessings. Believers must nurture the special "seed" that is planted within them until it is mature enough to be delivered. God has prepared a special blessing for those who love and trust Him. As with natural pregnancy, the first trimester is the most critical. During the earlier stage, the enemy lurks in every corner waiting to snatch the seed of the word of God out of the believer like the seed that fell on stony ground. That seed was initially received with joy just like the natural news of pregnancy. However, if the seed is not planted deeply, the seed cannot take root, as it should. Moreover, when trouble comes, the initial enthusiasm is lost and the pregnancy is aborted. This book examines the development of the believers’ faith and spiritual strength. The full- term birthing of the blessing is the most anticipated part. By the time it comes to fruition, believers are certain of their spiritual convictions and faith in God and have gained confidence. This, however, does not guarantee them freedom from trials and temptation. Satan is always around to put doubt in the hearts of believers, no matter how strong or weak their faith is. This book is filled with the Word of God and the works of God. It provides clear and concise help in bringing understanding to the preparation that precedes the blessings that God has promised for our lives. Not only is this book a valuable resource for every believer truly seeking to know the will of God and walk in it, but it is also a powerful teaching tool that will benefit ministry groups of any size. I pray that this book will aid in bringing about a supernatural revelation that will change your life forever. What God has for you, is for you.

Category: History
Page: 216

This book is the first in-depth analysis of the interaction between the British and Irish governments and the role they have played in seeking to resolve the conflict in Northern Ireland since 1980. Eamonn O’Kane examines Britain and Ireland’s objectives in relation to the Northern Ireland conflict, focusing on the influential factors that persuaded these two governments to co-operate at a closer level and those which made this co-operation difficult to achieve and at times sustain. Drawing on extensive primary research, including interviews with leading British and Irish politicians and civil servants, the book questions many of the most widely accepted arguments regarding the conflict. It sheds new light upon the objectives of the two states in Northern Ireland, the origins of the peace process, the reasons that the conflict appeared so intractable and the role of the international dimension. The book places events in context and offers a more convincing explanation for many of the advances and disappointments in Northern Ireland in recent years than is currently available. This volume offers a reinterpretation of the intergovernmental approach to the Northern Ireland conflict and peace process and is an invaluable resource for students and researchers of British politics, Irish studies and conflict studies.

Realizing Utopia

The Future of International Law

Category: Law

Realizing Utopia is a collection of essays by a group of innovative international jurists. Its contributors reflect on some of the major legal problems facing the international community and analyse the inconsistencies or inadequacies of current law. They highlight the elements - even if minor, hidden, or emerging - that are likely to lead to future changes or improvements. Finally, they suggest how these elements can be developed, enhanced, and brought to fruition in the next two or three decades, with a view to achieving an improved architecture of world society or, at a minimum, to reshaping some major aspects of international dealings. Contributions to the book thus try to discern the potential, in the present legal construct of world society, that might one day be brought to light in a better world. As the impact of international law on national legal orders continues to increase, this volume takes stock of how far international law has come and how it should continue to develop. The work features an impressive list of contributors, including many of the leading authorities on international law and several judges of the International Court of Justice.

European Populations

Unity in Diversity

The changing demographic landscape which Europe is facing today and in the next decades reflects the past. These changes constitute important challenges to European populations and societies. Shifts in fertility and family formation, in health, morbidity and mortality, in internal and international migration as well as changes in age structures, in households, in labour forces, and in population growth and decline, will influence the living conditions and well-being of Europe's population directly or indirectly. The demographic challenge also concerns the environment, local, regional and national developments, education, production and consumption patterns, economic competitiveness, social security, housing, employment and transport, and health and social care provisions. These issues, their mechanisms, determinants and consequences also challenge the scientific study of population. As a major forum and 'market place' for scientific demographic debate, the 1999 European Population Conference (EPC99) was organized to take up this challenge. On the threshold of the third millennium, European populations are united in diversity and face major demographic issues.
