Unique Process of Writing: Written and glued together by over three hundred writers and editors from around the world. Each chapter was written and expanded by several authors, and then all the chapters were pieced together by different authors and editors. The whole work was tied together and edited through a touch of sorcery and insanity by Aaron W. Rockwell. Short Synopsis: Hailed as Stars Wars meets Dungeons and Dragons; Space Knight is set in a galaxy of impending darkness. The quest for answers pulls our alcoholic hero through all edges of the multiverse. In a mix of chaos theory and full throttle emotion, our Jacob encounters classic monsters, love, loss, new acquaintances, and old friends along the way. Akin to Space Knight: The Dark Tower Series by Steven King Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder meets Star Wars/Star Trek George R. R. Martin J. R. R. Tolkien J. K. Rowling Book Includes: Battle Axes, Castles, Depression, Drama, Death, Lots of Death, Empty Space, Forests, Future Technology, Garden of Legends, Gnome Institute, Half-Orcs, Half-Goblins, Half-Centaurs (humans!), Heaven's Courtroom, Ice Dragons, Indie Girl, King Orion's Round-table, Love, Magical Items, Medieval Valor, Monsters, Montages, Natural Disasters, Ogres, Paladins, Romance, Science Fiction, Space, Space Knights, Spaceships, Taverns, The Academy, The Multiverse, Time Travel, Titans, Tragedy, Vampires, Wild West, Wizards, Magi, Sorcerers. Aaron Q&As: How did you write Space Knight? Basically, I would hire contractors to write small chapters with a loose outline: a one sentence blurb of what's going on and a couple of characters descriptions. In total, the contractor would have three to four sentences to write a whole chapter. They were given near complete freedom; some contractors had difficulty with such an open task. I would then take the small chapters and have other contractors expand them to make up 3500 words per chapter. Next phase, I would take these chapters and have contractors tie two to four chapters together. Chapter's started flowing together and making more sense, the more contractors weaved, the more the story flowed. The final phase was to edit the book, which was done in chunks just like the writing. Who would have the rights of the work then? The first contractor wrote an amazing chapter, sent it to me, and then asked about the rights to the work. I assumed I would have them, but I did not specify before his contract so I paid him and deleted his chapter. From that point on, I would state in my contracts that I would retain all rights. Furthermore, the whole book would be edited and reedited so often it would be hard to even pinpoint who did what. Is the future of authorship going to be outsourced? It's the next step; almost every other facet in society operates on mass collaboration and peer sourcing. One person doesn't design entire cars or control the entire supply chain of a company. Why should books be written by only one author? Multiple authors make for a disruptive or novel that doesn't flow? Though individual writing styles are extremely different, the more and more editors smooth over the stories, the more of a baseline of readability occurs. So in a way, the evolution of multiple voices actually is in itself a voice.

Rules for a Knight

"It is 1483, and Sir Thomas Lemuel Hawke, a Cornish knight, is about to ride into battle. On the eve of his departure, he composes a letter to his four young children, consisting of twenty virtues that provide instruction on how to live a noble life, and on all the lessons, large and small, that he might have imparted to them himself were he not expecting to die on the battlefield. "Why am I alive? Where was I before I was born? What will happen to me when I die? Whatever well our lives are drawn from, it is deep, wild, mysterious, and unknowable..."Rules for a Knight is many things: a code of ethics; an intimate record of a lifelong quest; a careful recounting of a knight's hardest won lessons, deepest aspirations, and most richly instructive failures; and an artifact, a relic of a father's exquisite love. Drawing on the ancient teachings of Eastern and Western philosophy and religion, on literature, and poetry, and on the great spiritual and political writings of our time, Ethan Hawke has written a parable that--in the story of a young man's journey toward a life of authenticity and meaning--captures the instinctive movement of the heart toward truth and beauty. Rules for a Knight has the appeal of Arthurian legend; the economy of Aesop; and the vitality, intelligence, and risk-taking that could only emanate from Ethan Hawke"--

“Michael Knight is more than a master of the short story. He knows the true pace of life and does not cheat it, all the while offering whopping entertainment.”—Barry Hannah Long considered a master of the form and an essential voice in American fiction, Michael Knight’s stories have been lauded by writers such Ann Patchett, Elizabeth Gilbert, Barry Hannah, and Richard Bausch. Now, with Eveningland he returns to the form that launched his career, delivering an arresting collection of interlinked stories set among the “right kind of Mobile family” in the years preceding a devastating hurricane. Grappling with dramas both epic and personal, from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to the “unspeakable misgivings of contentment,” Eveningland captures with crystalline poeticism and perfect authenticity of place the ways in which ordinary life astounds us with its complexity. A teenaged girl with a taste for violence holds a burglar hostage in her house on New Year’s Eve; a middle aged couple examines the intricacies of their marriage as they prepare to throw a party; and a real estate mogul in the throes of grief buys up all the property on an island only to be accused of madness by his daughters. These stories, told with economy and precision, infused with humor and pathos, excavate brilliantly the latent desires and motivations that drive life forward. Eveningland is a luminous collection from “a writer of the first rank.”(Esquire)

The collection, edited by Annalisa Castaldo and Rhonda Knight, features essays by scholars interested in exploring how the material culture of sixteenth and early seventeenth English theatrical culture influenced the creation and presentation of drama and how understanding this culture can enrich scholars’ current interactions with these plays as well as offer insights to actors and directors. The essays include discussions of plays by Shakespeare, Marlowe, and Middleton as well as lesser known works and playwrights. This collection is unique in that it includes the body of the actor as a material object that is encountered and manipulated by other actors on the stage. These essays demonstrate how props, bodies and the architectural dimensions of early modern stages have both practical and symbolic registers.

'Let him kill a lion with a pestle, husband; let him kill a lion with a pestle.' So exclaims the Grocer's wife who, with her husband and servants, is attending one of the London's elite playhouses where a theatre comany has just begun to perform. Peeved at the fact that all the plays they see are satires on the lives and values of London's citizenry, the Grocer and his wife interrupt and demand a play that instead contains chivalric quests and courtly love. What's more, they nominate their apprentice Rafe to take on the hero's role of the knight in this entirely new play. The author, Francis Beaumont, ends up not just satirising the grocers' naive taste for romance but parodying his own example of citizen comedy. This play-within-a-play becomes a pastiche of contemporary plays that scorned those who were not courtiers or at least gentlemen or ladies. Like Cervantes in Don Quixote, Beaumont exposes the folly of those that take representations for realities, but also celebrates their idealism and love of adventure. The editor, Michael Hattaway, is editor of plays by Shakespeare and Jonson as well as of several volumes of critical essays, and author of Elizabethan Popular Theatre, Hamlet: The Critics Debate, and Renaissance and Reformations: An Introduction to Early Modern English Literature. He is Professor Emeritus of English Literature in the University of Sheffield.

The Haunting of Hill House dianggap sebagai salah satu kisah horor terbaik abad ke-20.
