By employing the same basic methodologies used to establish the currently accepted chronology, it has been possible for a group of young archaeologists, including David Rohl, to create a New Chronology which resolves many of the problems permeating ancient world studies. In particular, one model has been developed which has major implications for Old Testament research. Through the revision of the master chronology of ancient Egypt they have unlocked the key to biblical history - the epic events of the Bible really did happen as recorded in the Books of Cienesis, Exodus, Judges, Samuel, Kings and Chronicles - the problem was that we had previously been looking for them in completely the wrong place in time. Many of the conundrums of the past are explained, and legendary figures such as Joseph, Moses, David and Solomon find their true political setting. Exodus and Conquest will be restored to history and the magic of legend will'begin to make its great comeback.

The stories are riveting, inspiring and filled with warmth and wisdom. They are love stories with a purpose. Deep and meaningful marriages are one the most rewarding experiences life may offer. Unfortunately, most of us have little knowledge of the tools needed to make relationships work. We're usually guided by our parents' relationships, girlfriends, homeboys or previous experiences which may lead to more failure than success. We spend a life time reacting responding, and rebounding from mistakes and misguided intentions that have caused us pain and frustration. The twenty phenomenal couples featured in Standing the Test of Time, share honest and intimate insight into their relationships to reveals valuable life lessons in love, forgiveness, communication, building a family and growing together. Wisdom gleaned from these African American elders is both intuitive and significant. “A lot of people get married because they are in love. The goal is not to be in love - but to love.” -Hattie Wilson, Standing the Test of Time

Marriage is the most intimate of all human relationships, where two separate, unique and whole persons (one male, one female) make a covenant and exchange vows, committing their lives to remain together until death. Marriage is a covenant, a fusion, a legal union and a blending of a man and a woman (not a man and man or woman and woman) in a life-long relationship.

Mechanical Properties and Testing of Polymers

An A–Z Reference

This volume represents a continuation of the Polymer Science and Technology series edited by Dr. D. M. Brewis and Professor D. Briggs. The theme of the series is the production of a number of stand alone volumes on various areas of polymer science and technology. Each volume contains short articles by a variety of expert contributors outlining a particular topic and these articles are extensively cross referenced. References to related topics included in the volume are indicated by bold text in the articles, the bold text being the title of the relevant article. At the end of each article there is a list of bibliographic references where interested readers can obtain further detailed information on the subject of the article. This volume was produced at the invitation of Derek Brewis who asked me to edit a text which concentrated on the mechanical properties of polymers. There are already many excellent books on the mechanical properties of polymers, and a somewhat lesser number of volumes dealing with methods of carrying out mechanical tests on polymers. Some of these books are listed in Appendix 1. In this volume I have attempted to cover basic mechanical properties and test methods as well as the theory of polymer mechanical deformation and hope that the reader will find the approach useful.
