Es ist nicht immer einfach, einen Neuling in die Grundlagen der pathologischen Histologie einzuführen. Im deutschen Studienplan ist zu diesem Zweck ein eigenes Praktikum vorgesehen, bei dem der Student mit dem Objekt, dem histologi schen Präparat, unmittelbar in Berührung kommt. Leider ist es heute, da Semesterkurse mit 150 bis 200 Hörern an der Tagesordnung sind, nicht mehr möglich, den Studierenden eine eigene Präparatesammlung in die Hand zu geben: Wollte man nämlich jedem Studierenden bloß 150 Präparate mitgeben, so würde das pro Jahr die Herstellung von 2 x 200 X 150, das heißt 60000 Präparaten bedeuten. Dazu fehlt heute Zeit, Geld und vor allem Personal. Außerdem weiß man aus Erfahrung, daß diese Präparate zwar nach der Ablegung des Examens fein säuberlich aufgehoben, aber kaum je mehr angesehen werden - ich selbst schließe mich bei dieser Feststellung nicht aus. Trotzdem wäre es aber gut, wenn jene charakteristischen histologischen Bilder, deren Grundzüge der Studierende im Praktikum kennengelernt hat, auch weiter vor seinem geistigen Auge lebendig blieben und sich evtl. nach den Bedürfnissen des Tages erweiterten und vermehrten. Hier kann nun das vorliegende Werk einspringen, indem es Erinnerungen wachhält und in der einmal erlernten Sprache der pathologischen Histologie neue Bilder beibringt und erläutert. Kein Buch, keine noch so naturgetreue Abbildung wird zwar jemals die Anschauung eines Präparates unter dem Mikroskop ersetzen können, aber unter allen den möglichen Behelfen erscheint der vorliegende Atlas als der beste Ersatz für das Präparat.

(Löffelholz u.a.1999, 117) Die Anfänge sozialpädagogisch geleiteter Tätigkeiten mit Fußballfans in Deutschland lassen sich bis in die späten 70er Jahre zurückverfolgen. Geleistet wurde dabei eine Fanbetreuung durch die Streetworker des kommunalen Jugendamtes in München. Wenn jedoch vom ersten bundesdeutschen Fanprojekt die Rede ist, handelt es sich um das Fanprojekt in Bremen, das Anfang 1981 unter der Trägerschaft der Bremer Sportjugend1 seine Tätigkeiten aufnahm. Die Einrichtung weiterer Fanprojekte folgte. Fanarbeit hat sich mittlerweile zu einem Feld der Jugendhilfe etabliert. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den sozialpädagogischen Interventionen im Fußballumfeld. Der Schwerpunkt der Ausarbeitung liegt in der Ermittlung von Ansprüchen und Handlungsentwürfen der Fanarbeit (Konzepte) sowie von den strukturellen Bedingungen in die sie eingebettet ist (Rahmenbedingungen). Sind die Fanprojekte gegründet worden, um ausschließlich die Gewalt im Fußballumfeld zu dämmen oder verfolgen sie auch weitere Zielsetzungen? Welche Handlungsstrategien gibt es für die sozialpädagogische Fanarbeit? Und welcher Raum für Interventionen wird den Fanprojekten zur Verfügung gestellt? Dies sind Fragen, die sich als eine Art Leitfaden durch den Verlauf der vorliegenden Ausführungen erstrecken sollen, bis sie sich schließlich ihrer Klärung nähern. Um komplexere und realitätsnahe Erkenntnisse über diese zu erzielen, wird dabei neben theoretischen Deutungen auf empirisch gewonnene Daten aus der Fanarbeitpraxis zurückgegriffen. Die Erhebung der Daten erfolgte anhand qualitativer Experteninterviews mit Mitarbeitern der Fanprojekte in Bremen sowie in Dresden. Folglich wird die Arbeit in einem theoretischanalytischen und einen empirischen Teil gegliedert. Die Erkenntnisse aus dem theoretischen sowie aus dem empirischen Teil werden miteinander in Verbindung gesetzt und auf Übereinstimmungen bzw. Abweichungen untersucht. Abschließend sollen die Ergebnisse Anregungen für die weitere Durchführung der sozial-pädagogischen Fanarbeit bieten.
