Business experts, business economists, and organizational psychologists agree that a specific business strategy must be chosen for a corporation to excel. Beyond the strategy, companies must have a performance measurement system that ties every aspect of the organization - from the boardroom to the factory floor - to the strategy. In their book 'Corporate Performance Management', noted authors David Wade and Ron Recardo show companies how to craft a strategic focus and create sound business strategy by using a unique and pragmatic performance-measurement system. Concepts in the book are illustrated by 'real world' case studies. It provides tools and techniques to show how to apply the concepts within an organization. David Wade is the director of performance measurement for Aetna, Inc., and the author of several business-related books and articles. Ron Recardo is the founder and managing partner of The Catalyst Consulting Group, L.L.C. The author of several articles and books, he is a frequent speaker at meetings of professional associations, trade groups, and senior executives.

The concepts under analysis were developed through intense dialogue with business managers. While maintaining academic rigour, Integrated Performance Management presents ideas that students will find relevant outside of the classroom. The contemporary world is characterized by enormous development of globalization on the basis of fast spread of information enabled by modern information technologies. The development of the last decades is very difficult to predict. Under these conditions, the society's paradigm is changing as for the corporate economy management. The significance of non-financial indicators grows, they, in connection with the financial ones, can identify conditions much better and influence corporate performance indicators. An important role is played by the interdisciplinary holistic approach to corporate management, responding to rapid changes in production related to the individualization of the products according to customer requirements and shortening its life cycle. Under these conditions, the most important factor for market success becomes a customer, whose satisfaction and loyalty to the company must be measured to be able to create conditions for stable growth corporate performance. The great attention is also given to the theoretical basis on which corporate performance management is created. The most important part of customer-oriented management is data acquisition from the measurement of customer experience. The questionnaire survey was the basis for gaining of the primary data source for the customer's satisfaction and loyalty measurements on the net promoter score (NPS) principle.

This book is about strategic performance management for the Twenty-First Century organization. In a practical step-by-step approach it navigates readers though the identification, measurement, and management of the strategic value drivers as enables of superior performance. Using many real life case examples this book outlines how organizations can visualize their value creation, design relevant and meaningful performance indicators to assess performance, and then use them to extract real management insights and improve everyday strategic decision making as well as organizational learning. A key focus of the book is the important issue of creating value from intangible assets. Much has been written about the importance of intangible assets such as knowledge, skills, relationships, culture, practices, routines, and intellectual property as levers for organisational success. However, little has been published that tells managers how to do that. This book moves beyond just raising awareness and provides practical tools and templates, gathered in many extensive case studies with world-leading organizations. The key issues the book addresses are: • How do we identify the strategic value drives, especially the intangibles, in our organisations? • How do we understand their strategic value using the powerful mapping tools? • How do we then measure the business performance? • How do we use performance indicators to improve decision making and organisational learning? • How do we align performance reviews and risk management with our strategy? Well grounded in theory and packed with case studies from around the world, this book will function as a guide for managers as well as a reference work for students and researchers. The tools described in this book are not only suitable for leading international corporations, but have been designed to be equally appropriate for not-for-profit organizations, central and local government institutions, small and medium sized businesses, and even departments and business units. The ideas, tools, and templates provided allow managers to apply them straight away and transform the way they manage strategic performance at all levels of their organization.

Business Intelligence (BI) and Performance Management (PM) – the development and delivery of business insight for users and the management of execution based on that insight – are two solution-types that promise to bring great value to enterprises. Yet most organizations haven’t yet realized the elusive bene?ts of these two important disciplines. The reasons for this are manifold. However, the primary causes are the culture of the organization and it leadership. This is a topic, which I’ve addressed at length in my latest book: Pro?les in Performance – Business Intelligence Journeys and the Roadmap for Change. The culture and leadership of the organization determines the importance and strategic intent surrounding the use of BI and PM. Sadly, most organizations lack the motivation to embrace transparency and accountability – or to align with the strategy of the organization – enabling execution and coordination in unison with the mission. However, once an organization and its leadership are ready to take a step towards real change – creating an environment of openness, sharing and alignment – with BI and PM as its centerpiece – the next question then becomes one of “how and where to begin”? Even with great strategic intent, missteps in the development and deployment of BI and PM and can cause disillusionment and disappointment – lending support to the naysayers of the organization – and leading to failure and abandonment of these critical programs.
