Book 4 The Fool’s Journey Series Noel Eastwood’s unique blend of rollicking good storytelling and the wisdom of esoteria and the Tarot continues in this long awaited sequel. Follin and his wife, Eve, have completed their lessons with the pragmatic Pentacles, the intellectual Swords and are now faced with the heady world of emotions in the Cups Kingdom. The lovers find that a safe and secure relationship is not so simple, it requires considerable insight and personal sacrifice. The spiritual lessons outlined in the Cups journey will benefit those on the same mystics journey as our heroes, be it to go beyond the world of matter in the astral planes, or to develop strategies that will make your love life fulfilling and secure. Adopting a narrative approach, Noel once again demonstrates how he uses the imagery and metaphors of tarot in meditation. Originally written for Tarot practitioners Noel’s Fool’s Journey Series has found a broader audience in those interested in personal growth. 'Here we drink three cups of tea to do business; the first you are a stranger, the second you become a friend, and the third, you join our family, and for our family we are prepared to do anything even die. Haji Ali, Korphe Village Chief, Karakoram mountains, Pakistan In 1993, after a terrifying and disastrous attempt to climb K2, a mountaineer called Greg Mortenson drifted, cold and dehydrated, into an impoverished Pakistan village in the Karakoram Mountains. Moved by the inhabitants' kindness, he promised to return and build a school. Three Cups of Tea is the story of that promise and its extraordinary outcome. Over the next decade Mortenson built not just one but fifty-five schools especially for girls in remote villages across the forbidding and breathtaking landscape of Pakistan and Afghanistan, just as the Taliban rose to power. His story is at once a riveting adventure and a testament to the power of the humanitarian spirit.

ABOUT THE BOOK Haji Ali taught me to share three cups of tea, to slow down and make building relationships as important as building projects. Three Cups of Tea was written by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin in 2006 in order to raise awareness concerning efforts to build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The story centers on Mortenson’s own evolution from a penniless mountain climber to a world-renowned humanitarian. During his descent from a failed attempt at climbing K2, Mortenson gets lost in the Karakoram region of Pakistan. He ends up in the small town of Korphe, where he vows to build a school for its children. Although it takes years for Mortenson to build the promised school in Korphe, following its eventual completion, he begins work on new schools in other towns. MEET THE AUTHOR Lacey Kohlmoos is a writer, traveler and lover of the arts. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in Drama & the Studies of Women and Gender, the only thing she knew for sure was that she wanted to travel. So, she embarked on a 10 1⁄2 month round-the-world trip, then traveled to Costa Rica where she spent one year teaching elementary school English in a small mountain town. Throughout her two years of travels, she's always kept a blog. EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK Once the Korphe school is complete, Mortenson feels as though his work is just beginning. Looking for adventure, as well as a new place to build schools, he travels to Waziristan. There he is kidnapped and held for eight days before being released unharmed. This turn of events leads to Mortenson’s decision to focus first on building schools in Baltistan, the area of Pakistan with which he is most familiar. Upon returning home from Pakistan, Mortenson is reminded that time doesn’t stand still during his absences: Tara gives birth to a baby girl and Hoerni is on his deathbed. Before Hoerni succumbs to cancer, though, he endows Mortenson’s Central Asia Institute with $1 million. Over the course of the next couple of years, Mortenson continues building schools in Pakistan. In addition, he becomes dedicated to girls’ education, providing services for refugees, and bringing improved medical care to rural Pakistan. On September 11, 2001, Mortenson is in Pakistan dedicating a new school. The 9/11 attacks mark a change in the way that Mortenson talks about his work. He tells reporters that terrorism is rooted not in Islam, but in poverty and lack of education. He believes that building schools and educating the children of Pakistan and Afghanistan is the best way to fight terrorism... Buy a copy to keep reading!

A middle-aged university lecturer has an established single man’s life. He lives alone in a small flat, has daily work aggravations and affairs. While he continues to be in a relationship with a woman with little common interests, he enjoys existential discussions with a librarian, often over cups of coffee. Within all his discussions rotating around personal freedom, there is an underlying personal ego-centricity. There is a duality of involvement and aloofness when he faces a society that is increasingly content with the mundane. In this, he has, unwittingly, chosen a life of compromise. He is always ready to criticise a passive society losing its passion yet he is indecisive in his own affairs and he ignores what matters to him. His protected life is shattered when he is told that the librarian has died after a period of illness during the period that he had ignored contacting her. This book portrays an ordinary man with an ordinary life enjoying his daily discourse vacillating between the mundane and the sublime; a man with misconceptions about himself and his relations with the women in his life.

Seven European Cup finals. Seven fans. Seven amazing adventures following the team they love. This book celebrates the achievements of Liverpool FC in Europe, and in particular a love affair with Old Big Ears - the European Cup. It's an ongoing affair that began with the legendary and, in those days, unprecedented exodus of 30,000 Liverpool fans to Rome in 1977, has taken in the glories of Paris and Istanbul, endured the horror of Brussels, and still burns as brightly today with Athens 2007, just the latest staging post of Liverpool's trans-European express. Above all, Here We Go Gathering Cups In May tells of the bond between a club and its fans: the lengths those fans will go to in order to be there at the final to cheer on their team, vivid accounts of what happened along the way, their escapades in some of Europe’s iconic capitals, and their recollections of those historic nights – nights of glory and, sometimes, nights of tragedy.

First comes the miracle and then comes the madness. The miracle is the birth of identical triplets, and the madness is all about money, of course. The year is 1916 and the newborn baby girls have become pint-size celebrities. Unfortunately, this small portion of fame soon leads to a much larger portion of greed, and the triplets are split up—parceled out to the highest bidders. Two of the girls go to live in a hilltop mansion. The third girl isn't so lucky. She ends up with a shady family that lives in an abandoned work camp. That’s how their lives begin: two on top, one on the bottom, and all three in the same small town. And when their worlds collide, as they must, the consequences are extreme. Tea Cups & Tiger Claws spans fifty years and takes the reader from a shantytown to a gilded mansion, from dark desires to sacrificial love.
