I Didn t Get It Right God But I Tried

I prayed, "Please God, let him be here." He was there and asked me what I had
been up to and I told him what I had gotten into. "He was to meet me at our usual
restaurant," I said, "but, I didn't see him," I said. "Let's go find him," was his reply.

As humans, things happen to us sometimes that we cannot fully understand. We desire to explain them when from human perspective there's no explanation that really exists. Our perplexion at things of that nature are not just about when they happen to us but also the things we witness in the world around us. They oftentimes shake the foundations of our faith in God to the core. But as much as not knowing hurts, at no time should our reaction be to accuse God for things we don't understand. Rather, we should know that God is not always the architect of all our problems and that He might not always save us from people that live to harm us or bless us the way we want because we take a stand with Him. His promise however is one thing and that is that He'll work it all out for HIS OWN ENDS even the wicked for a day of disaster Proverbs 16:4b. However your pain occurred, God's declared intentions are that He'll use all of your problems any which way they present to work out His will for your life. The deaths of some of the people that went before us is proof that for reasons best known to Him, God at times chooses not to deliver people that take a stand with Him. And it's not because He hated such people but because of what He already planned to use the situation for.

There is a traditional Jewish saying that humans were created because God loves stories. But what if the story you had to tell was that you committed suicide? How do you think that story would sound if you had to tell it to the giver of all gifts? Would it be understood in the context of today’s earthly attitudes on the subject, and is the gift of life something that you can even throw away? The Book of Steven is a sometimes humorous, oftentimes crass attempt to take readers along a fictional journey to explore some of these ethereal notions. It is above all also a wild and unpredictable ride, and some people may not have the stomach or the desire to take Steven’s journey—so be warned. However, for those who may be struggling with greater or lesser questions in their lives, or even those who just want to explore an alternative perspective, this book may provide some enjoyable reading and intellectual stimulation. Steven’s ultimate message is that there is no reason to be content living in a world of personal despair, especially when the possibilities presented by the universe of life are truly boundless, and was written to present readers with a unique perspective about the eternally precious value of this human existence. “Imagine a humorous novel about a suicide who enters heaven and finds it not cosseting but a purgatory where life’s distractions (food, booze, sex, Internet) are removed and the hardest question looms: Why did he kill himself? Welcome to the journey of Steven, an unintentionally funny male whiner, panicker, quitter, porn addict, and general screwup, as he struggles with God, Jesus, and self to escape Heaven’s Suicide Ward and yet not return to the hell of earth. Steven’s frustrating cluelessness but direct dialog render the deep messages on karma, reincarnation, cosmic energy, and the meaning of life easy to absorb. Does Steven escape Heaven? It’s worth reading this profound yet funny journey to self through the Suicide Wards of Heaven to find out.” –US Review

Each one of us has made choices in our lives that we regret. Some of these choices have minimal consequences, while other choices we have made can cause devastating outcomes. In her book, Abortion v. God's Amazing Grace, the author shares just that sort of choice that can have lifelong effects. Her choice to have an abortion was made at a moment when all she could hear were lies. Then, after it was too late to undo what she had done, truth was heard, reality set in, and the pain and hopelessness became unbearable. Thankfully, God does not leave us without hope. Through the author's story, you will see how God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, takes our sin, pain, and destruction and brings forgiveness and hope to our lives. You will witness a God who takes our brokenness and over and over again demonstrates His powerful love, forgiveness, grace, and healing. The author will share that God is always there. He is always love, and He waits to make each one of us whole. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

If this is a fair world, Cheryl H. Harrington would have most likely not written this book. This book is a thrilling story about the struggles and hardships that she has been through in this cold, hard world. It goes from the ever so loving happiness of a family, to the deepest depths of addiction. Her story is one for the history books, but also a story that tells of the strength and passion of a black woman who dreams to be successful in this world today. Not everyone can overcome the challenges she has faced in her life, but as a strong black woman in this unforgiving world, Cheryl has made a name for herself. This story here tells how that name came about. “In life God provides you with chances, opportunities, situations, circumstances, and people....for a reason or a season” Sometimes both. The author of this book has not written these words for entertainment, they are authentic. This is her story. I know because God has loaned her to me for quite a season now and i recognize the reason...This story being shared is one of true revelation of the meaning of a deep and loving relationship with our Divine Higher Power and most be-loved God! The courage, strength, wisdom, sincerity this soldier of the Lord has chosen to share will help those wandering in the dark to look deeper, harder and longer at the choices they have made and whom they have served within and without their struggles through life....Riveting book....awesome, metaphorically intertwined in the complex and compelling struggle Christians experienced while carry our cross...Amazing!!!!!!!!! – V. The Revelation of a Mystery is a text and workbook that teaches the relevance of the book of Romans to life today. The epistle of Romans is the most comprehensive teaching of Christian doctrine. To everyone who thinks the Bible is outdated, the Holy Scriptures are just as relevant today as they were when God first gave them to mankind. While our means of travel, way of living, and technology changes, human nature does not change. Murder is still murder, stealing is still stealing, lying is still lying, and sexual immorality is still sexual immorality. Our society has disregarded this fact; therefore, it has been plagued by social ills that have been leading us down destructive paths and bringing us sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS, abortion, greed, hatred, and violence. The only way to overcome these social ills and live a life of victory is through the Lord Jesus Christ and His teaching. The Apostle Paul was God’s chosen vessel to bring to the world a written record of His plan of salvation for the world. When the Apostle finished this epistle he ended it with this verse: “Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began ...” (Romans 16:25 KJV). God’s plan of salvation for the world is fully revealed. The Old Testament prophets taught it, the Lord Jesus Christ brought it, and the Holy Spirit is sent to complete it. Justification by faith in the Messiah Salvation and its benefits The outpouring of the Holy Spirit Empowered to walk in the Spirit Victory over sinful flesh and death

From New York Times-bestselling author Philip Kerr comes an amazing departure: an intense psychological thriller, sure to garner even more acclaim for this powerhouse author on the rise. Gil Martins, an agent with the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism Unit in Houston, confronts the violence generated by extremism within our nation’s borders every day. He sees hatred and destruction wrought by every kind of “ism” there is, and the zealots who kill in their names. Until now, he has always been a part of the solution—however imperfect—a part of justice. But when Gil discovers he played a key role in wrongly condemning an innocent man to death row, it shakes his faith—in the system, in himself, and in God—deeply. It even estranges him from his wife and son. Desperate, Gil offers up a prayer. To know God is there, not through a sign or physical demonstration but through the strength to cope with his ever-growing, ever-creeping doubts. His problems become more than personal as things heat up in Houston. A serial killer terrorizing the morally righteous turns out to have religious motivations, upping the case from homicide to domestic terrorism. A number of prominent secular icons die or are grievously injured abruptly and under suspicious circumstances, the latest of which is a New Atheist writer who’s fallen into an inexplicable coma. Left and right, it seems Gil can’t escape the power of God and murder. As Gil investigates both cases, he realizes that there may be a connection—answering his prayers in a most terrifying way.
