From Darkness into Light

No man cometh to the Father, but by Him. The poems in this book were inspired by God and are intended to bring glory to His Son, Jesus Christ, while exposing the stark reality of sin and the ravaging effects it is having on mankind.

Truth is never a popular concept in any society where mankind lives. Truth is ridiculed and rejected and the bearers of it are often persecuted, even martyred for it. But truth forever stands in the face of all its adversaries. And truth can never and will never be vanquished. For truth has always existed and truth will never end. For, Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Way, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father, but by Him. The poems in this book were inspired by God and are intended to bring glory to His Son, Jesus Christ, while exposing the stark reality of sin and the ravaging effects it is having on mankind. Some of the poems are based on the authors life experiences, while others were created by trying to envision life through the eyes of others. He Set My Spirit Free is the testimony of the authors life changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Mother, I Will Meet You, was written in memory of the authors mother, Winifred Nostrand, who recently passed away in November 2008 at the age of 71. Also, Daddy, My Heart is Broken, was made in sad memory of her father, who passed away in June 1996. The Noble Husband, is dedicated to the authors dear husband, James Lodico. It is the authors heartfelt prayer, that the poems in this book will not only move the hearts of Christian men and women into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, but that it would convict the unsaved man of his sins so that he would turn to Jesus Christ, the only One who can save him and provide an entrance into heaven. Any direct quotes from the Bible were taken from the King James Version.

“A Glimpse of Glory is a wonderful testament to God’s love and promises from one who experienced death—only reluctantly returning to life as we know it from the hereafter. The author wipes away the trepidation even Christians feel toward death and an inkling of what comes next while sharing his own humble beginnings, rugged upbringing and experiences. Rick East is the real deal and has a great message in his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and what he believes God wants him to share with as many as possible. This story is first rate with a vivid emotional impact and obviously has God’s blessing.” —Nick Weyland, fellow author and Christian brother A Glimpse of Glory A mysterious illness caused Rick East to lapse into respiratory failure the afternoon of December 25, 2012. Rick discovered his spirit was in heaven and was being coached by the Holy Spirit. Rick saw the city of heaven and had many conversations with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit answered questions that have puzzled Christians for years.

Walk in the victory that defined the lives of the apostles and the early church—it’s still possible today! Spiritually, the single most powerful moment in history is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Often, that which is the cornerstone and centerpiece of the Christian faith has been reduced to something many believers assume they grasp, understand, or have figured out. It’s as if we think the cross is elementary in our understanding of Christianity. Yet, it’s applying TheGlory of the Cross that grants us access into the very depths of intimately knowing and experiencing God Almighty. The cross makes it possible for you to apply the victory of Jesus over every area of life that His death and resurrection impacted. Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda, pastors of All Nations Church and leaders of Chavda Ministries, provide dynamic teaching coupled with miraculous stories of how applying the glory of the cross grants you access to supernatural miracles, divine healing, encounters with the Holy Spirit, reconciliation to God, understanding of your spiritual identity, applying the power of Jesus’ blood, six keys to victory in spiritual warfare, and so much more.
