WHITE WIND, BLACK RIDER Oboko finds Matari like a blur of darkness lying in the snow of a blizzard. After he carries her lifeless body into an ancient abandoned temple he is astonished when she opens her eyes. What had seemed a frozen lump of silk is transformed into a beautiful woman. Matari says softly, "I didn't die." Thus begins the most dramatic and moving of Luke Rhinehart's books. He has woven an exciting story of three samurai and the beautiful woman they each love, trapped by their very virtues into deadly conflict. Oboko is the poet of the wind, a peace-loving student of Zen; Izzi, the lusty, life-loving court poet on his way to serve the great Lord Arishi, a proud samurai who has vowed to kill Matari, who he believes has been unfaithful. When Lord Arishi's samurai pursue them, Oboko, Izzi and Matari each must choose, with each of their lives in the balance. "A strange jewel of a book; it casts lights and shadows although it is as simply written as a child's poem" ...Kilburn Times. "A powerful, exciting yarn"...All About Books.

With its progressive design and solid biblical truths, this thought-provoking book provides a forum where students can explore questions and journal their answers as their belief systems are being solidified. Today's students are shaped by opinions—opinions from their friends, media, music, family, and God. With so many viewpoints, it is nice to know there are absolutes in this world. Part of the Poetry of the Soul series, Who Am I? addresses the formative years when students are asking, "Why am I here? or "Does God really love me?" As readers journal, they will explore their feelings on faith, family, friendships, and themselves at this pivotal point of their lives.

Who hasn’t asked themselves what there is to life beyond just living? What is true purpose in life? There must be higher purpose than just living… In the book “Who am I?”, Gnani Purush (embodiment of Self knowledge) Dada Bhagwan describes that one’s ultimate life purpose is to find an answer to the age-old unanswered question of spiritual seekers: Who am I, and who is the ‘doer’ of all that happens in life? Dadashri also resolves questions such as: “What is the nature of the journey of souls?”, “How was the world created?”, “How to find God?”, “How can I experience my own pure Soul?”, and “What is liberation?” Ultimately, Dadashri describes that attaining knowledge of Self is the primary purpose of life, and the beginning of true spirituality. Having gained Self knowledge, spiritual development begins, after which one may attain ultimate liberation, or moksha. Among the many spiritual books available today, Dadashri’s “Who am I?” is an exceptional resource.

This book was primarily written to be a teaching tool. It will encourage readers to spend more time in the bible and make it fun as well. This book gives you an in-depth study of the characters in the bible, ranging from the obvious to the obscure. This book will not just give you answers like most books. There may be many different references to each riddle. This book was written with a wide range scope. My choice was to make the riddles range from very simple to extremely challenging. The simple ones were written to help capture the attention of the children, the unsaved, and the average saint. Even theologians will find this book informative, captivating and challenging.

Who Am I? by Dr. Lonnie Melvin Charles R. Swindoll (2006) stated, "The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts...I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is to you. We are in charge of our Attitudes." I think this is a good rule to follow, but also do not forget the ultimate rule, the "Golden Rule: One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself." That says it all! If we treated others the way we want to be treated life would be wonderful! Everything would be fair, no one would get hurt, and we all would be happy. A favorite motto of mine these days is "Just do the right thing." If we all just did that one thing, we would not have as many problems as we do in society. The world would be more of a fair and equal system for all. Wouldn't that be nice! I have lived my whole life looking for that "Happily Ever After," clearly it is not 100% up to us, the environment takes a significant role in the shaping and forming of our morals, values, and beliefs, however, we still have reasoning skills to decipher between good and bad and make choices in the best interest of humankind. Did you know that 50% of what we know is learned and 50% is inborn (meaning we are born with those aspirations of what we think, want, and pursue)? That is pretty powerful! That means we can use those great gifts God has given us as well as use our brains to do the rest. About the Author Dr. Melvin's forty-nine years as a parent and twenty-nine years of experience working with children and adults in education as a teacher, school counselor, mental health counselor, principal, college professor, author, and person allows her to have the background needed to write and introduce her own unique version of a book that helps others discover who we really are and what we need in life to get through it. Having multiple degrees in education, educational leadership, and counseling, having written a dissertation on topics regarding the above; vast hands-on experience with the topics included, having worked in schools and mental health facilities; and currently working in the educational field, assists Lonnie in staying current on topics.

A single woman setting out for Africa and a medical mission? Fascinating enough. But add to that the single woman building a hospital in India, going back to Africa to reopen a hospital after the revolution in Zimbabwe, and establishment of clinics in Honduras-and you have a picture of a courageous woman. God did eventually provide a partner who has served with her for many years in Honduras. You will enjoy the humor, the adventure, and the deep devotion to God shown in this work. "My wife Margaret and I have known, loved, admired, and respected Madonna Spratt throughout her entire fifty years of missionary service. We have witnessed firsthand the impact of her life and service. Madonna's story is a compelling and inspiring tribute to what God can do through a life that is completely sold out to Him." -David Eubanks "Madonna Spratt is not only a fearless world ambassador for Christ, but also a competent and compassionate missionary nurse who has poured her life into bringing healing to the nations through the grace of the Good Physician, Jesus Christ." - David Grubbs, M.D., Former medical missionary Madonna Burget Spratt has served for over fifty years in Zimbabwe, India, and Honduras in medical missions. But her mission has also been a strong witness to the Person of Christ and His saving power. Born and educated in Indiana through her nursing program, she then attended Johnson Bible College. Following midwifery training, she began her fascinating, faithful, fruitful service to the Lord in overseas settings. Eleanor Daniel is the retired Dean and Dorothy Keister Walker Professor of Christian Education at Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, TN. She and Madonna have shared a long friendship.
